A lancet is a small, sharp medical instrument used for puncturing the skin to obtain a small blood sample, typically for blood glucose testing in individuals with conditions like diabetes.
To use a lancet, insert it into a lancing device, adjust the depth setting if applicable, and then press the device against the fingertip or another site for blood sampling. Once the sample is obtained, dispose of the lancet safely according to proper medical waste disposal guidelines.
Yes, diabetic lancets can expire. While the lancets themselves may not have an explicit expiration date, they should be used within the specified timeframe recommended by the manufacturer to ensure optimal performance and minimise the risk of contamination.

Excellent value for money. As a type 2 diabetic, my levels are managed with medication and I have not been told to monitor my blood sugar. However, the prices on this site are so good, I invested in a monitor and will buy my supplies from here. Excellent value for money and speedy delivery too!
