Carmellose is a sterile, preservative free 0.5% ophthalmic solution of Carmellose sodium in vials of 0.4ml single use containers.

Features and Benefits

Carmellose 0.5% Eye Drops relieve severe symptoms of dry eyes such as burning, itching, and grittiness (foreign body sensation).
They act as a lubricant, providing relief for dry eye conditions associated with the use of PCs, infrequent blinking, certain medical treatments, atmospheric pollution, dry atmospheres (e.g. air conditioning, wind and sun) and ophthalmic stress due to the use of contact lenses.
Caremllose 0.5% is a Preserviative Free Formula meaning it contains no preservatives at all. The absence of preservatives allows the use of the solution by contact lens wearers without the need to remove them.
Caremllose 0.5% is a sterile, ophthalmic, strong moisturising and protective solution, with a physiological pH, based upon Carmellose.
Caremllose 0.5% can be used in case of a severe dry eye syndrome or more immediate protective action and lasting relief.

Carmellose Sodium Eye Drops 0.5% Lubricant

Carmellose is a sterile, preservative free 0.5% ophthalmic solution of Carmellose sodium in vials of 0.4ml single use containers.

Carmellose Eye Drops 0.5% 12 Hour 30 x 0.4ml single use lubricating eye drops for patients with moderate to severe dry eye.
PRESERVATIVE FREE FORMULATION: eliminates the risk of preservative reactions such as toxic events, allergic reactions and disruption of the tear film.
12 HOURS OF USAGE: cost effective since most single dose units need to be disposed of immediately after usage.
SOOTHING AND LUBRICATING: relieves ocular discomfort and irritation associated with dry eyes and environmental factors such as wind, salt-water, smoke or computer work.
SUITABLE FOR USE WITH ALL CONTACT LENSES: can be placed directly on the lenses to make insertion of contact lenses much more comfortable.

When should it be used?

Lubricant eye drops for lasting and soothing relief and protection against burning, irritation and discomfort due to ocular dryness or exposure to environmental factors.

This product is not normally intended for use for more than 30 days; if the symptoms persist consult your doctor.

1 drop in the eye 2-3 times daily or as required

Ingredients:

Carmellose sodium, boric acid, sodium tetraborate, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, calcium chloride dihydrate, water.

Precautions and warnings:

Do not use if the container is damaged
Do not use if you are sensitive to any of the components of the product
Slight irritation of the eye, stinging and redness may occasionally occur during use. In most cases this disappears after a few minutes.
After administration, in rare cases, a slight temporary blurring of vision may be observed due to the viscosity of the solution. It is therefore advisable to wait for a few seconds before any activity that requires clear vision.
Do not use after the expiry date shown on the container
Do not touch the eye with the tip of the container
Leave at least 10-15 minutes between administration of any other ophthalmic drug
Once opened each vial can be used for up to 12 hours
Keep out of the sight and reach of children
Do not swallow
