How to Use the Hair Strand Drug Test

Using our Multi-Panel Hair Drug Test Kit is a straightforward process, providing you with quick and accurate insights into an individual’s drug history. Follow these simplified steps for efficient testing:

Prepare the Lysate: Start by adding the buffer to the Specimen Collection Tube along with Catalyst Powder. Shake the tube evenly to create the lysate.
Mix Hair Sample with Lysate: Place the hair sample into the prepared hair lysate and securely tighten the cap onto the Specimen Collection Tube. Shake vigorously to thoroughly mix the specimen and the lysate, and allow the tube to sit undisturbed for 5 minutes.
Prepare the Test Cassette: Remove the test cassette from its sealed pouch, ensuring its use within one hour. Position the test cassette on a clean and level surface.
Transfer Specimen to Test Cassette: Remove the clear cap from the Specimen Collection Tube and transfer 3 full drops of the specimen (Lysate) (approximately 120 mL) to the specimen well (S) of the test cassette. Start the timer and be cautious to avoid trapping air bubbles in the specimen well (S). For multi-panels, add 3 drops of lysate to each specimen well.
Read Results: Wait for coloured lines to appear and read the results for 5 minutes. Do not interpret the result after 10 minutes.
